Astrid’s Reflection

Astrid’s Reflection is a prequel short story set in the world of Westfal, told in five parts. It follows Gall — an immortal with a complicated past and a longer list of debts — as he races to uncover what the legendary villain Faline is doing in the kingdom of Drachnor following her escape from a seven-hundred-year imprisonment. To find out, he enlists the help of Aurea, Queen of Cazidor, a skilled memory-walker whose courage and clarity will cost more than either of them anticipates. No prior knowledge of Westfal is needed to follow the story, though readers of The Grail of Culloden will find in these pages the weight that Gall carries into those events — and finally understand why.
