On Heaven’s Shore

Over the horizon and into unknown seas, One man sails onward, borne by the breeze. His destination certain, his course straight and true, Breaking earthly bonds for something pure and new.

Though winds may slacken and waves change their way, One truth stands certain: he cannot stay. Trailing tears and whispered sobs fade in his wake, As sailor and vessel their final journey make.

Guided by stars that shimmer above, He charts his course beyond mortal love. Breaking past currents of time’s endless flow, While sunlight dances on waves below.

Beyond healing hands and mortal reach, He finds at last the eternal beach. There peace awaits on heaven’s bright shore, Where storm-tossed souls need sail no more.
